Pre-production is the process of preparing all the elements involved in a film also known as the preparation phase. At this point, two roles emerge as most critical, that of producer and that of writer. During this phase the script is finalized, casting is completed, budgeting and finance has been set, all crew positions are hired for, and a shooting schedule has been set forth for production.
